Resident/ Site Engineers
General Roles and Responsibilities:
The Resident/Site Engineers will work under the general guidance of the Chief Construction Engineers.
She/he will assist in the management of the day to day construction activities on site and will assist
in the supervision of Construction Contractors staff. The ideal candidates must be registered with the Engineers Association and have appropriate experience (must not be less than 3 years) in construction/building, water networks, sewage projects, construction and inspection. She/he will ensure successful delivery of construction activities and will perform the following:
- Setting out, and receiving site surveying plans;
- Checking plans, drawings and quantities for accuracy of calculations;
- ensuring that all materials used and work performed are as per specifications;
- Overseeing the selection and requisition of materials;
- Make cost-effective solutions and proposals for the intended project;
- Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents;
- Day-to-Day supervision of construction on site, including supervising and monitoring the site labor force and the work of any subcontractors;
- Assist in overall quality control, health and safety matters on site;
- preparing reports as required;
- Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
