Background:
The Socioeconomic Program at Leaders Organization aims at supporting
youth engagement in leading positive social and political change in
Palestine as well as in becoming the drivers of a growing local economy.
With this goal in mind, LEADERS Organization strives to achieve four
key outcomes:
- Enhanced leadership capacity of young people in the social and economic arena.
- Establishment of a community of young people active in the use of media, with a specific focus on modern media.
- Engagement of young people in promoting a culture of human rights, democracy, good governance, and social justice.
- Enhanced engagement of young potential leaders in their political and social organizations.
The Socioeconomic Program is seeking a qualified candidate for the
vacancy of Monitoring, Evaluation and Fundraising Officer (MEFO). The
MEFO will support the monitoring and evaluation process and fundraising
activities relating to The Socioeconomic Program. The MEFO will assist
Leaders Organization management team to ensure the successful delivery
of the program as a whole against the performance measures set out and
to support the program in securing financial support from regional and
local foundation, corporate and individual funding sources.
Description of Responsibilities:
The MEFO works under the direct supervision of the Socioeconomic Program
Manager. The MEFO works in close collaboration with the Operations,
Program and projects staff at Leaders Organization to ensure consistent
service delivery.
Summary of Key Functions:
-Monitoring and Evaluation: design, management and implementation of
monitoring and evaluation activities over the program cycle;
-Fundraising: Expand, intensify, and lead our fundraising efforts
focusing on securing financial support from local regional and
international foundation, corporate and individual funding sources.
Detailed Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitoring and Evaluation:
- Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection and evaluation procedures
- Monitor all program activities and progress towards achieving the program outputs;
- Recommend further improvement of the logical frame work of different projects under the socioeconomic program;
- Develop monitoring and impact indicator for the program success;
- Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results;
- Monitor the sustainability of the program's results;
- Provide feedback to the Program Manager on program strategies and activities;
- Suggest strategies to the management team for improving the efficiency
and effectiveness of the program by identifying bottlenecks in
completing projects activities and developing plans to minimize or
eliminate such bottlenecks;
- Report monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual progress on all projects activities to the Program Manager;
- Conduct capacity assessment on existing monitoring and evaluation system;
- Develop indicators and a monitoring strategy for the program;
- Provide inputs, information and statistics for quarterly, annual and other reports to Program Management Team and Leaders;
- Participate in annual program reviews and planning workshops and assist
the Projects Managers/Program Manger in preparing relevant reports;
- Assist the program personnel with M&E tools and in supporting them in their use.
Fundraising
- Produce a 2 year development plan 2014-2015 reflecting quantifiable
fundraising goals aimed at generating approximately 1 Million USD from
sponsorships, corporate and individual donor solicitations and grant
funding awards. The plan will include specific revenue goals, timetables
and any related PR and communication plans for each fundraising
category;
- Prepare and submit pre-approved Letters of Intent and/or proposals
which support the plan and follow the donor instructions for
solicitation.
- Develop a prospective donor list that effectively supports the
fundraising plan; the donor list must clearly support the work of
Leaders Organization and its socioeconomic program;
- Prepare donor correspondence and communication;
- Contribute to the development of a master organizational case for support from potential donors and supporter;
- Research and identify potential funders;
- Prepare and submit sponsorship agreements, concept notes and proposals;
- Design customized presentations for in-person meetings with potential donors.
- Submit monthly written progress reports or other progress reports as requested from the Program Manager.
- Set a meeting schedule to regularly meet with the Program Manager/team
to ensure development goals and objectives are clearly understood and
implemented.

Qualifications :
Education:
At least a Bachelor's degree, MBA or relevant Master’s degree preferred
Experience:
Demonstrated success in significant non-profit fundraising for organizations that work with women and/or youth
Superb oral and written communication and editing skills to support grant writing
Capacity for meeting quick turn-around proposals for imposed donor
deadlines, and working collaboratively to design and execute successful
development plans.
Ability to synthesize market research data.
Experience that includes successful solicitation of private, corporate,
individual and government funding sources for the last 3 years.
Language Requirements:
Fluency in spoken and written English, Arabic is highly preferred
Others:
Excellent working knowledge of MS Office-Word, Excel, Power Point.
Sound judgment, excellent analytical skills, strong networking and
interpersonal skills, ability to plan, organize and coordinate work and
to cope with a demanding workload is expected;
