The YWCA of Palestine is implementing SHUMOUS project in six villages and one refugee camp most of which are in Area C in Ramallah and the Jordan Valley & Jericho districts in collaboration with Y Care International and YWCA-YMCA of Sweden with funding from the European Union and the Swedish Mission Council/Swedish International Development Agency.
Through this project young people, especially young women, will
contribute towards the construction of a democratic and free civil
society by achieving reduced employment levels and reduced social
exclusion. This will be attained by increasing livelihoods
opportunities, and building the capacity of community-based
organizations and the YWCA of Palestine.
The project targets seven Localities, namely Al Auja, ,Nuweimeh and
Aqbet Jabr Refugee Camp in the Jordan Valley and Tireh, Aboud, Bani Zaid
and Saffa in Ramallah. 18 Community Based Organizations (CBOs) will be
involved to effectively support 1,450 disadvantaged young women and 50
disadvantaged young men of the age group (15-29) to improve their
economic and social status and advance their ability to participate in
decision making.
The YWCA of Palestine, Y Care International and YWCA-YMCA of Sweden are
interested in hiring expert trainer/s to Design and deliver 6 short term
vocational trainings for 166 unemployed young people, particularly
young women who graduated with Diplomas or university degrees. Trainings
need to be delivered between November 2014 and June 2015 at maximum.
Firms or service providers interested in applying to this assignment
should present an offer with a detailed training plan, and comprehensive
budget to include: daily fees and expenses, no later than midnight
Sunday 09 November 2014.
