Position Objectives:
The Trade Project is a USAID-funded program operating in Ramallah, West Bank. The purpose of the Project is to expand Palestinian private sector economic growth through reduced barriers to trade and investment.
The Project began in March 2013 and is expected to be three to five years in duration.
The Trade Project is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Communication, Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist to support a multi-year project for the promotion of supply chain efficiencies and increased revenue opportunities for West Bank based firms. The Specialist will produce and manage creative contracting of informational material including fact sheets, public service announcements, infographics, print materials and other informational media.

The key job responsibilities for the Communication, Graphic Design and Marketing Specialist of the Project will include:
-Manage all aspects of a communication plan and creative development of informational materials
-Ensure effective communications and visibility to USAID and external audience;
-Produce high quality program progress reports as per donors
requirements including weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports;
-Develop success stories and scene setters for high level events and meetings;
-Graphic design, layout and production of informational materials in Arabic and English;
-Integrate market research and feedback into informational materials;
-Support development of beneficiaries websites to improve their market presence
-Produce visual content for social media and manage projects social media presence through USAID social media outlets
-Liaise with West Bank companies and official counterparts
-Provide other assistance as needed
Education, Qualifications and Experience Requirements:
-University degree in communications, marketing, fine arts or graphic design
-Demonstrated skills in graphic communication, design and illustration
including awareness of trends in the region and internationally
-Proficiency in Adobe CS6 and other creative and communication software and or programming languages, especially HTML
-Previous experience liaising with international organizations, official counterparts and private companies would be helpful
-Good understanding of business climate in WB
-Advanced understanding of print and broadcast media in WB and surrounding region
-Experience with marketing and public relations vendors in WB
-Experience working with USAID
-Travel as needed within the West Bank
-Proficiency in Arabic and English
This position reports to the Communications/Monitoring and Evaluation Manager. A portfolio is required.
