Position Type: Regular Employment -Full Time
Location: Gaza Office
Duration: 6 months with possibility of extension
Starting Date: ASAP
GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
The Executive Director will basically responsible for fundraising and
writing proposals respecting to donors requirements a; manage different
projects of Natuf Organization to ensure best practices of projects
implementation process and methodologies. Oversee work of current
employee of Natuf and other projects contracted.
We are looking for an Executive Director capable of building on our
current strengths and moving the organization to new levels of
effectiveness across the board. The Executive Director, in collaboration
with the Board of Directors, is responsible for developing the
strategic vision and plan for the organization and for ensuring its
financial integrity. The Executive Director has lead responsibility for
successfully carrying out the plan and for recruiting and supervising
staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
-Follow and fill requests for proposals; work on fundraising and proposal writing.
-Work closely with the Chairman of the Board (COB), Board of Directors
(BOD), donors, and partners, contribute to the development of projects
plans, methodology, processing forms and implementations steps, and
monitoring documentation and mechanisms.
-Complete all needed reports in close communication with program
coordinators and other staff and submitting them to COB for review and
approval.
-Provide needed directions and assistance to Projects Team with more
focus on impact and meeting project indicators of beneficiaries in order
to achieve tasks in high level of effectiveness.
-Be the focal point for Nauf partners and provide timely and complete
information needed to their projects' inputs under the supervision of
COB.
-Maintain constructive relationships with contractors, partners and
project stakeholders, providing sufficient and timely guidance.
-Manage daily work of different projects in addition to oversee the work
of staff affairs including allocation of duties and tasks, reporting,
and commitment inside the organization.
-Be responsible for determining staffing needs and managing the
recruitment processes, including, orientation (induction) training, and
evaluation of all staff, consultants and volunteers.
-Maintain a climate of respect, transparency, ethical practice and
teamwork that attracts, keeps, motivates and develops a diverse staff of
top quality people.
-Maintain good methods of tracking various assets and activities' facility tools inside organization.
-Prepare, facilitate, and coordinate for Board of Directors (BOD) meetings.
-Show high level of discipline and commitment to Natuf rules and
regulations without jeopardizing Natuf organization policies in any way.
-Ensure overall compliance with organizational policies and procedures,
donor regulations /requirements (including reporting guidelines);
Palestinian law. Promote compliance with international best practices
by providing clear guidance to all staff, maintaining up-to-date
knowledge of all applicable rules and regulations. Developing
monitoring systems and tools to ensure all activities are implemented
and documented in accordance with policies and procedures.
-Other duties as assigned. Occasional work beyond office hours may be required, without additional compensation.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: All Natuf employees.
REPORTS DIRECTLY TO: Chair of the Board (COB).
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:
-At least 6 years of experience or more in managing NGOs project
portfolio, finance experience, including budgeting and grant management.
-Solid knowledge of fundraising and writing proposals as these are primary needs currently.
-University degree in business administration, community development,
environmental and social studies or any other related field.
-Understanding of the social, political, and economic context of the Palestinian territories, especially in the Gaza Strip.
-Excellent communication, social and team building skills.
-Excellent command of English and Arabic language is a must, verbal and written.
-High proficiency in computer, internet, and MS office literacy.
-Age should not less than 30 years old and not exceed 40 years old.
