Palestinian Electricity Transmission Ltd. (PETL) invites applications from eligible candidates for the following position:
Commercial Director
The commercial director will be
responsible to plan, develop, implement and keep under review all
marketing and sales arrangements as well as increasing PETL’s market
concentration while managing all regional and international cooperation.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops the Commercial department's strategies, business plans and budgets in accordance with PETL’s overall strategies and directions.
Develops the Commercial department's policies and procedures to control all activities within the department.

Monitors the effeciency of the tariff regulation
Monitors the market price development.
Installs participation program within international associations.
Reports frequently to CEO.
Information exchange with relevant departments.
Evaluates subordinates performance in a fair, transparent and objective manner on a periodic basis.
Ensures effective functional performance through attraction,
development, training, deployment and motivation of competent staff
within the department.
Reports on division's overall KPI's and employee performance on a periodic basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
BA or Masters in Electrical Engineering, Marketing or Economics. Post-Graduate degree a strong advantage.
8 years or more related professional experience, preferably in a senior executive position.
Private sector experience a strong advantage.
Fluency of English required.
Strong verbal and written skills.
In-depth understanding of the modern concepts of private enterprise,
legislative mandates, international laws, and Palestinian electricity
law required.
Ability to negotiate with domestic and foreign suppliers complex and
detailed agreements on energy supply, transmission and other
transactions.
Analytical ability to understand financial, economic and technical aspects of power systems.
Experience working with policy makers, executive, and senior managers to achieve established goals and lasting results.
Demonstrated experience managing large projects, workgroups, and organizations.
Demonstrated ability to evaluate recommendations by experts on highly
complex and technical issues related to economic, financial, and
accounting issues.
Demonstrated aptitude at managing change in a complex and evolving environment.
